Now only the approved applicants have access to the gateway. The approved list is increasing every few hours. February 19, 2005 Added new rules for North American users only. Looks like this WAP gateway experiment is over.February 17, 2005 Apologies for having to take the gateway down for over a day. The server has been combed over to make it as optimal as possible. Someone abused the gateway by filling up all the TCP connections, causing the machine to crash. Hopefully we now have that resolved. Other updates: Added MOT T720 phone to tested list. Please email me to report your usage experiences with this gateway. February 12, 2005 Added MOT V710 phone to tested list. Added default page for legacy browsers. Updated status to reflect that the IP change will probably occur on Monday Feb 14th. As of 9:45PM EST, the Gateway has crashed and fault analysis has commenced.
11:00pm: The WAP Gateway crashed and the file system became unstable. A complete server reboot had to be performed. Log files were inconclusive as to why it crashed. Investigation continues.February 10, 2005 WAP Gateway still up and running after an IP address change (7:00PM EST). Changes still pending for a ADSL reshaping. February 9, 2005 WAP Gateway trial a success and is now extended beyond it's 24 hour trial period. February 8, 2005 WAP Gateway established for a 24 hour period as a trial.
