Located at the intersection of Rt 3 and Rt 40 in Westford Massachusetts near the North Chelmsford line is this tower. It's located off Rt 40 on Doris Drive and is in the middle of a parking lot with a spacious gated fence around it. Currently there are 6 carriers present on the tower. |

Pictures of the various BTS units for each carrier. The last picture shows the two base buildings, one is for Verizon and the other is for Nextel. It appears that Cingular is co-located in the Verizon building as there is both a Verizon (Bell Atlantic) sign and an Cingular sign on different doors of the same building (see signs below). Parris Wood emailed and said that the cabinet on the far left is for Metricom who is a manufacturer of regional wireless data communications systems. Their installs look very much like cell carrier configurations.

There are 6 meters here in use, and they were poorly labled, Some are old enough that the labels have just peeled off by themselves. From these pictures you really cannot make out the labels for each carrier. |
