Tapers Notes:

First time seeing these guys, and hopefully not the last. I have been hearing about them for a few years now as an avid Rush fan, and in New England, Lotus Land is *the* premier cover band for all-time my favorite band.
Having them 'open' for the screening of "Beyiond the Lighted Stage" - a documentary on Rush, is just an added bonus.

The movie was excellent. Like many have said, the humor keeps you attuned for the duration. It's lineage was in the bands history time line, which was great. They spent a lot of time describing the early years, and progressively less time on each subsequent "period" of Rush, which was nice.

What I really appreciated is how they had other famous musicians chiming in on their opinions and how they would classify Rush as a band and their unique musical genre. That was cool.

Overall a must see for any fan. As soon it's available for purchase I'll get my copy."

For a theater, not a really bad house sound system, but it was lacking in the low-end frequency department for good solid bass and drums. What can one expect? But in any event, the recording came out great. The rig was right in front of the speaker stack, and there were no obstructions or movements, so it came out as good as possible.
I wish Chris on Bass was a bit louder and fuller, and Mark's cymbals were a bit low in the mix, while his snare was a bit too loud.   Not complaining, just mentioning it.  I do know that I had some ringing in my ears after they played, so there were good and loud, that is for sure!

I want to thank Cindy (tragedy32) for meeting up with us before the show and for helping to get this gig in Arlington all set up for us fans!  You rock!
I hope to see you all at future Lotus Land gigs, and of course, in CT @ Mohegan Sun and Boston for the 2010 Timer Machine Tour of Rush.
