Located just south west of Pennichuck Square on Rt 101A in Merrimack, NH is this tower. Just west of the Cinema 8 Movie Theatre (behind the Mile High Pie store), this tower has been in existence since the mid to late 1990's. Both pictures are of the same tower taking from the parking lot in front of PC Connection and Cinema 8. The top most antenna array is US Cellular, as they co-located their new 8 foot paddle antennas for their CDMA deployment next to the original TDMA antennas during the month of July/August 2003 (these two photos show just the TDMA antenna panels - no CDMA colocated panels. Click the link below for the CDMA colo antenna pictures). The 2nd array is for Nextel. The third is Cingular. Click here for more detailed pictures. |

Located on old Route 3 on the Nashua Merrimack line just south of the Harris Pond Office Park is this monopole, built in the 2000 timeframe. I was unable to get to the base, but field tests show that Cingular and T-Mobile are definitely here. On 5/16/03 Parris Wood states: The third carrier is Nextwave Telecom. It is believed by people that this Nextwave site is here so they can maintain their NH licenses. As of August 2003, Cingular and Verizon are bidding for Nextwave. |

On the west side of the Everett Turnpike
at Exit 10 are these two towers. Back in 1997, only the shorter tower
existed. There are now 6 carriers here. More field research needs to
be conducted in the future. This site is gated far away from the top
of the hill. |

At Exit 11, Continental Blvd and Rt 3, just east of the intersection is this old tower which is kinda short in relation to the surroundings. U.S. Cellular has been parked on this tower for as long as I can remember. Update: August 2003, this tower still remains, but USCC just erected a new tower a mile north of this locale (see below). |

Located adjacent to where the old Shaw's Plaza is, just north of exit 11 on the east side of the Everett Turnpike are these two monopoles. Field tests show that the carriers are Cingular and Sprint PCS. Educated guess will also place Nextel on one of these two towers. Access to theses sites is on Columbia Circle. |

The newer USCC CDMA site located at Columbia Circle. The photo is poor. It was taken while driving South on Rt 3. Better photos will come in the future. |

Located at 33 Elmn Street near the Merrimack River east of Rt 3, behind the condos (close to where Dunkin Donuts and the Post Office are) is the solo monopole. Field tests show that it's Cingular and T-Mobile. Latitude: 42° 52' 45.00"
As of December 2006, this site has been confirmed to have Cingular GSM present, and the site itself is owned by Cingular. |

Located next to the AM radio tower in between the Everett Turnpike and old Rt 3, just south of the Bedford Tool Booths is this monopole which stands very close to the next group of Cell Tower pictures. Prelim Field tests show that Cingular and U.S. Cellular are here on this tower, as the neighboring tower (below) has the other carriers. Latitude: 42° 54' 34.00"
This tower is confirmed to be owned by Cingular. |
