Hollis NH US Cellular CDMA2000 1XRTT 3G Build Out
Just a primer. United States Cellular started it's build out of a TDMA network back in 1989 and the 90's and is still deploying it in other more rural areas in the states and regions for which it is licensed.
They made the decision to overlay a CDMA on top of their existing TDMA network simply due to the fact that CDMA offers much more capacity and features for subscribers than TDMA does.

Wide angle shot of the new deployment antenna panels. There is only one antenna array at the top of the tower (below it are omnidirectional commercial antennas). You can see the guy wire used by the installers, and if you look close enough you can see two people up in the tower working on the wiring. |

A closer shot of the new installed antennas. You can see the two workers better in this shot. The darker flat faced CDMA panel antennas are 8 feet long each and are mounted next to the existing white-faced TDMA antennas. |
The installation gear at the base
of the tower, with the huge spools of thick coax used for the new antenna
runs. |

Another shot of the old and new antennas.
The guy rope was used to hoist all of the new antennas and related hardware
to the top of the tower. |
