Connecticut is the only state in the nation that has a committee that is responsible for viewing and approving wireless tower sites, among other duties it performs. All applications for thse sites must be viewed/sites and approved by this committee.

As of December 21, 2004, there are 3597 telecommunications carrier sites reported for the state of Connecticut.
Note that this number counts each carrier as a seperate site even though they all may be co-located on the same structure.
