Bridgewater VT Cell Site
a.k.a. "Killington East"
Many thanks go out to Tim C. of Vermont for all of
the photos and information provided in January 2007 about this site!
This site, on Laber Road (a.k.a. Vaughn Road) was first applied for
by Nextel in year 2002,
and the land use permit was issued in 2003. The
tower was erected in 2006.

Description |
In August 2002, this is the Vermont
Act 250 Notice of Application and Hearing from Nextel Partners. |
|
In April 2003, this is the Land Use Permit. |
|
The Site Plan design. The photo here is not of
high resolution. |
|
Again, many thanks go out
to Tim C. of Vermont for all of the photos and information provided
in January 2007 about this site! You can see the tower through the trees here. It's only 85' tall, so it not hugely towering over any of the surrounding trees. |
|
Nice views of the whole site, including the base
fenced in area. |
|
A view of the NEXTEL shelter. You can see the
GSP antenna mounted on the shelter building roof line. |
|
Closer view of the cabling tray, shelter, and
GSP antenna. |
|
Wide angle view of the base. It is interesting
that they did not leave a large fenced area for additional carriers
to co-locate here. That Nextel shelter uses up most of the space! |
|
Close up of the 3 sector panels. Interesting
how Nextel used only a single antenna panel per face here. |
There is also another cell site on Rogers Road in Bridgewater with
Nextel, Unicel, and Verizon installed.
No photos of this site are available at this time.
