Unicel gets approval for a barn silo cell site in Cabot Vermont.
Added EV-DO coverage information for New Hampshire - Meredith, Center Harbor, Tamworth, Ossipee, Madison, Conway, North Conway, Glen, and Bartlett. Most notably, EV-DO service is available in most if not all of all those towns (extensive service now through Belnap and Carrol Counties). Also, all of i89 from Concord to Labanon now has Ev-DO enabled. Photos of some of these NH sites are forthcoming.

Vodafone pre-pay TopUp SIMs will not work on the Unicel network (at least in New Hampshire), but it does work fine on T-Mobile.
Lancaster, NH now has good Unicel GSM coverage (Thanks to Matt T).

With Rural Cellular Co (Unicel) being bought out, Verizon will now have almost 100% 850Mhz coverage in New England! This is both good and bad news. Refer to the various online forums for further discussion about this.
Sandown NH, and Andover, MA gets Verizon Wireless cell sites added. Updated Pico Mountain in Mendon, Vermont information as T-Mobile is not included at that site. Added 2 new photos of the Nashua, NH stealth monopole pine tree along Rt 111 which now has Sprint PCS added.

Verizon Wireless EV-DO Rev A service in New Hampshire now extends from Concord up to the BELNAP/GRAFTON County lines (Bristol / New Hampton - Route 104 on Rt 93). Adde the Casio's Gz'One phone type S to the Fieldtest pages. Updated some of the information on a variety of cell sites on the Vermont page. Updated the Cell Site Hunting page.

Thanks to Geoff of VT, we confirmed that the barn silo located in Rutland Town, VT is Unicel GSM. Also, updated Lancaster, NH with Unicel service information (thanks to Matt T.). Barrington and Northwood NH gets new Verizon Wireless service. Updated the EV-DO Page for New Hampshire with Amherst, Hollis, & Milford coverage. Added coverage report for Bath, NH.

Confirmed that the Nashua, NH stealth monopole pine tree along Rt 111 near the dump now has EV-DO Rev A service live.
Also confirmed that both the Hollis NH Verizon Wireless sites - Hollis Center and Birch Hill are also EV-DO Rev A live.
The Bitch Hill cell tower is a "boomer" site which provides service for much of Hollis, Amherst, Milford, Brookline, and Mason, NH, so having EV-DO enabled here provides a large data footprint.

Chelmsford MA water tower got a facelife of is NEXTEL antennas (three new photos added). The old antennas were replaced with new ones. Also, the Nashua, NH stealth monopole pine tree along Rt 111 is now live with 1XRTT voice service. The EV-DO service is not yet live.

Chelmsford MA water tower now has Sprint PCS co-located with Nextel. More pictures of this site are coming soon. Also updated the Chelmsford near Kidder Road site as one antenna was removed from the sand and gravel building that it was mounted to. Also updated Chelmsford Raddison Hotel listing.

Confirmed that the Nashua, NH stealth monopole pine tree along Rt 111 near the dump now has Verizon Wireless as the new co-locator with both voice (1XRTT) and data (EV-DO) antenna panels installed, however, the site has not yet gone "live".
The new town hall communications tower for Milford, NH has finally been erected by US Cellular (it took 6 years to get to this point!). Three new pictures are available.

Many updates: New reported Verizon cell site on top of Mt. Ascutney. The rumor mill is flying for new Verizon service in and around Brattleboro, VT, but nothing yet has been confirmed.
A new NEXTEL stealth site is being discussed in Lincoln NH near Loon Mountain.
Wayland, MA is on the verge of an uproar over T-Mobile's new cell site placement proposal.

Unicel activates 30+ cell sites in the New Hampshire Lakes Region and White Mountains. Service towns include: Albany (2 sites), Alton, Bartlett (2 sites), Bartlett (at Attitash), Bretton Woods/Mount Washington Hotel, Conway (3 sites), Conway (at Mt. Cranmore), Gilford (at Gunstock), Jackson (at Black Mountain), Laconia (2 sites), Madison, Meredith (2 sites), Moultonborough, North Conway, Ossipee (3 sites), Tamworth (3 sites), Tenney Mountain (in Plymouth), Wakefield (2 sites), and Wolfeboro. Unicel also activated a new GSM site in Jericho VT.
