A relatively new addition to the landscape, this Telecorp (Cingular Wireless) site was constructed on 3/10/1999. This spot was a poor RF zone, and with the close proximity to where old Route 3 (River Road), Rout 101, and the Everett Turnpike meet (an earshot to the Bedford Mall), this cell site is certainly welcome.

It currently houses Nextel, Cingular, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Interesting that U.S. Cellular is not here to serve the Bedford Mall area, but their signal is relatively strong here despite their absence.

An interesting observation is that Verizon Wireless is the lowest most antenna array on the tower. They already had good coverage here, but obviously they wanted some saturation for the Bedford Mall area buildings, etc.

The first picture shows on the right the base equipment building for Verizon Wireless. Down behind this building is the Cingular BTS units.

The second picture shows the cabinets behind the VZW building for Cingular. The first four cabinets on the right side are for Cingular's TDMA BTS. The cabinet on the left may be where the batteries are stacked for power backup.

The third picture shows the relatively new installation of Cingular's GSM BTS unit. It appears that the coax cable running from this unit and the TDMA BTS units all run to the same antenna interfaces on the tower.

The fourth and final picture in this group is of the T-Mobile BTS.
